The Ohio City Bicycle Co-op is a nonprofit bicycle education center located in the Flats of Cleveland, Ohio. The pictures first posted here were all taken by Peter Garver, Assistant Director at that time. Now that OCBC has its own photo site, thanks to smugmug, others have contributed to our photographic record!

Earthfest 2007, 2007-04-23 : Pictures from the Earth Day Coalition's 2007 Earthfest. Not a very wide perspective on the event - I mostly saw it from the bike parking area, where OCBC offered secure valet parking to visitors all day (and will again next year! ride your bike!). We also organized, led, and safety checked the ride (as an organization - I think a total of about 25 of our volunteers were responsible for our being able to do all of this). At the end of the day, when we were all exhausted, the guy who sells the go-one3 in the US brought it over to the parking lot and a bunch of us rode it. Not particularly earthy, unless you were going to switch to it from a car, which I really can't imagine doing. But neat.

Spring Makeover Program, 2007-04-04 : We decided recently to replace our members meetings with programs six times a year (the other six months we will be having board meetings). This was the first program, and the subject was making bikes over for spring and finding new ways to make them exciting without buying new bikes. Our speakers were Jim, Ralph Jacobson, and Brian Rybak. I can't really remember what Jim talked about, but Ralph mostly covered singlespeeding, and Brian talked about some new parts available and generally shared his expertise.
